Relive The Beachcombers television series (1972-1990) at the annual Vancouver Historical Society luncheon on Sunday April 14 at the University Golf Club, 5185 University Boulevard. A limited number of tickets are available for non-members of the Society, on a first-come-first-serve basis. Tickets are $35 and can be picked up on the day of the luncheon.
The deadline to order tickets is this Thursday, April 11, 2013. This year’s speaker is former Beachcombers cast member and author Jackson Davies. Luncheon guests have a chance to win door prizes, and the annual Historical Award of Merit will be presented. Lunch starts at noon and is open to members and non members. The lunch is an annual event commemorating the April 1886 incorporation of the City of Vancouver.
