For July’s Vancouver Urbanist Meetup we are going to switch things up a bit.
Instead of heading another pub, this month, Vancouver urbanist extraordinaire (and Spacing contributor), Neil Salmond is inviting us over to his backyard for a urban picnic! Topics of discussion may include favourite summer activities in the City and a recap of this week’s CIP-PIBC Annual Conference.
Keeping with the picnic theme, this month’s event is BYO Beverage, so please bring whatever you want to eat and drink, something to eat it off and a chair or mat to sit on. Given that it is also Bastille Day, feel free to were a beret, and bring a bottle of Bordeaux, a baguette or brioche to celebrate our French friends!
You can find Neil’s place at 235 West 12th Ave, but come up the lane-way between 11th & 12th and Columbia & Alberta, until you see the Dutch revival gambrel roof.
As always, we will be there from 3 pm until at least 6 pm. Significant others (and babies) welcome.
As this event is at a private residence, please try and RSVP for this event so Neil has an idea of how many people to expect.
