Not a good plan; at a certain point, shrinking SFDs makes little sense. Would be much better if walls (sound-proof) were shared. Here’s the test on how the small SFDs are poor design:
Take a well-designed fourplex, with private outdoor spaces.
Then, reject that and insist on a strict regulation that each unit must be separated, and must have at least 1.5m of dark, damp, useless sideyards between them.
