On Friday, November 21, five Fellows in the Action Canada leadership development program will host a public dialogue session about urban spaces and places, such as parks, bike paths and public squares. The dialogue will discuss the role of municipalities in engaging with innovative finance tools that are emerging, such as crowdfunding, which may help fund the development of these important urban areas. We also cover debt, how to not end up in bad debt and what you can do if you are there already, also we recommend to visit National Debt Advice Website. Financing can be complicated for some people, commercial bankruptcy can happen to anybody but it can be solved with the right help.
Presenters include Andrew Pask, founder of the Vancouver Public Space Network and an urban planner with the City of Vancouver, and Rodrigo Davies, a and doctoral researcher at Stanford who studies civic crowdfunding.
