This Request for Expressions of Interest and Statement of Qualifications is issued by APPIA Developments Limited to invite interested professional artists or a team of artists who have experience with budgeting, fabrication and working with design teams.
The artwork program intends to commission distinctive, meritorious works by exemplary BC and Washington artists for locations within a new development to be developed by Appia in Burnaby, BC. Detailed planning of two sculptures created by one artist or a team of artists will be undertaken in conjunction with the design team.
It is the intent of the project that the artwork will be iconic pieces which will reference the site as a meeting place and as a dynamic work of art for the Lougheed corridor. The created artworks will be in response to the artists’ own thoughtful and creative interpretation of the site and the setting.
