We’re excited to announce that Dr. Bernice A. King, daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., will be the keynote speaker at the Walk for Reconciliation on September 22. Dr. King’s visit marks the 50th anniversary of her father’s legendary “I Have a Dream” speech and a pivotal moment in the human rights movement. Read more here.
The event will also feature an inclusive celebration before, after, and along the walk route with live entertainment, stories, songs, dance, food and more.
Thank you for taking part in this powerful way for us to come together and demonstrate our support for the process of healing. We thank you in advance for helping to establish a strong foundation of openness, dignity, and hope for new relationships between Aboriginal people and all Canadians as we move forward, together.
