100 in 1 day is being held in Vancouver on June 7, 2014 with the support of community partners, The Hive, City Studio and SFU Woodwards. We are encouraging everyone to get involved in this citizen-driven festival featuring an amazing array of urban interventions throughout Metro Vancouver. The fundamental goal of 100 in 1 day is to transform Vancouver and raise awareness of urban and social issues and inspire new ideas and solutions to old problems. We are asking participants to consider:
- What is your dream for Vancouver?
- What do you wish your community to be like?
- What actions will improve the quality of life in your community, street and block?
100 in 1 day was first launched in 2012 in Bogota, Colombia, with 250 interventions and over 3000 participants; it has since inspired citizen-driven transformative change in 15 cities around the world. This year four Canadian cities are participating in 100 in 1 Day including Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax.
As this is a community driven festival, we would like to invite you to support and volunteer for 100 in 1 day.
