Canstruction® Vancouver 2015

WHAT: A hugely creative Art/Food Sculpture Exhibition in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

Canstruction® Vancouver’s Design/Build competition is back, celebrating its 13th year. Vancouver’s finest engineers, architects and graphic designers bring their creative interpretation of this year’s theme “FACT or FICTION” to life. Imagine an 8’ tall Sasquatch, a giant optical illusion or huge talking watermelon built with thousands of cans of food. 100% of the food used will go to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.

WHEN: Saturday April 25th 12pm – 4pm. See over 200 people competing in this international competition while they build 19 huge sculptures right in front of you (all sculptures must be finished by 1pm Sunday April 26th).

WHERE: 3 Vancouver locations:

  • Rotunda at Pacific Centre Mall, (5 sculptures) 701 W Georgia St at Howe St.
  • Four Seasons Hotel, (2 sculptures) 791 W Georgia St at Howe St.
  • Pendulum Gallery, (12 sculptures) 855 W Georgia St. at Howe St

Meet this year’s 19 Canstruction teams and get a chance to view their giant canned-food sculptures prior April 26th public viewing.
WHO: 19 corporate and youth teams representing the region’s best engineering, architecture, graphic designers, local companies, and socially engaged students.
