This Saturday, the Vancouver Heritage Foundation is asking Vancouverites to stop judging these houses by their exteriors and inviting you inside! During the 3rd Annual Vancouver Special Tour you will be able to visit 5 east side Vancouver Specials and learn how their visionary owners have reno’ed and updated this ubiquitous housing style. A highlight of this year’s tour is a unique architect designed Joe Wai “Special” in Strathcona.
Whether you are a lover of this misunderstood housing for, or a hater who thinks that they arwe a blight on our beautificl city, this tour will change your understanding of Vancouver Specials—if not you attitude towards them.

3rd Annual Vancouver Special House Tour
Date: Saturday, September 24th2011
Time: 12 – 5pm
Cost: $28 +hst. (all proceeds go to the Vancouver Heritage Foundation)
Tickets: Can be picked up at the VHF office, 402-510 West Hastings, and on the day of the tour at the VHF booth located at Garden Park, 2200 E. 3rd and Templeton (map). Day-of ticket sales will be available while tickets last at the Info Booth.
