Vancouver honours best in local architecture and design
Thirteen projects representing the finest in design and architecture were honoured tonight at the 2016 Vancouver Urban Design Awards.

The Urban Design Awards recognize and celebrate excellence in architecture and urban design in Vancouver. Winners were chosen in nine categories, along with special jury awards.

The awards, which are presented every other year, promote urban design awareness, its value in place-making and the positive contribution public-realm design makes to the lives of people. Honourees receive a plaque and recognition at the ceremony and on the City’s website. The first Vancouver Urban Design Awards were presented in 2014.
