The official 2021 Margolese National Design for Living Award ceremony will celebrate ecological designer Nina-Marie Lister’s extraordinary achievements in biodiversity and climate resilience.
The free event will comprise a presentation of Lister’s work, and a panel discussion with distinguished design professionals and scholars:
- Jill Anholt, Public Artist and Principal, Jill Anholt Studio
- Julia Czerniak, Associate Dean and Professor of Architecture at Syracuse University
- Kees Lokman, Associate Professor and Chair of Landscape Architecture at the University of British Columbia
- Moderated by Mary Rowe, President and CEO at The Canadian Urban Institute
Speaking across the disciplines and amplifying the deep design work of architects, landscape architects, artists, planners, and ecologists, this group will shed light on the importance of transdisciplinary work and compassionate co-creation in a time of incredible urgency.
