Spacing Montreal wants YOU!

It’s been a little over a year since Spacing Montreal was officially launched. Since then, our readership has grown quickly, to nearly 2,000 unique visitors per day, and we’ve tackled a number of topics that were under-represented or absent in Montreal’s media.

Spacing Montreal is dedicated to covering all aspects of public space and public life in Montreal. That includes architecture, urbanism, design, art, history, transportation, politics and social issues. We’re looking for contributors who are passionate and curious about their city, who enjoy discovering the quirks of its streets and history, and who are looking for a way to express for their interest. We’re especially keen on people who would be interested in covering specific beats: City Hall, history, architecture, cycling and so forth. Since Spacing Montreal does not generate any revenue, we don’t offer any monetary compensation, but we like to think that being part of a collaborative effort to generate interest in Montreal’s urban environment is reward enough.

Interested? Email us at spacingmontreal@spacing.ca with a brief note about yourself, some writing samples (such as clippings or a link to your blog) and a few topics you’d like to address on Spacing.

  1. Hi- My e-mails keep getting bounced back from the spacing montreal address, I think because the mailbox is full. Is there an alternate address I could send my submission to? Thanks,
