This colourful plastic building was built in the Philippines to showcase sustainable energy solutions and the problem of waste for Earth Day 2013. Built out of recycled plastic, and powered by solar energy, visitors to the building will also be able to learn about urban farming techniques such as hydroponics.
Designed in partnership with the South African-based green design firm Touching the Earth Lightly, the structure uses 1,600 plastic vegetable crates that hold reused plastic bottles. It is 6 metres tall and 200 sq metres.
