Could glowing plants replace the city lights?

This is the first step in sustainable natural lighting.

A team of scientists have genetically engineered glow-plants with bioluminescent bacteria. When the sunsets, the plants turn a radioactive green, lighting up the surrounding area.

Currently the group is on Kickstarter asking for  donations. If they reach their latest goal of $400,000  they are promising glowing roses to donators.
