Jane’s Walk Ottawa 2011 gets underway with a panel discussion featuring two of Ottawa’s most innovative urban planners discussing how the ideas of Jane Jacobs are reflected in Ottawa’s urban environment. To mark the 50th anniversary of Jane’s seminal book, The Death and Life of Great American Cities , the discussion will focus on the four factors Jane identified that underpin lively, productive, resilient urban neighbourhoods.

Due to limited space at the venue, advance registration is suggested. Attendees can RSVP at the link below. The event is free, but a suggested donation of $10 will be appreciated. Those reserving tickets should claim them at the door between 7:00 and 7:30; otherwise, they may be released to general admission. There will be limited tickets available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis.
