Spacing Ottawa is excited to announce its first event of the 2014 year. Join us on Saturday June 21, as Centretown Citizens Ottawa Corporation (CCOC) Development Manager, Graeme Hussey, takes us on a walking tour and site visit of the Beaver Barracks community rental housing development. Opened in 2012, the tour will look at the architecture, process of development, and community gardens, among other aspects of the project.
According to the CCOC, “Beaver Barracks is one of the most sustainable rental housing developments, with geothermal heating, Energy Star appliances, low off-gassing and durable materials, and lots of tenant amenities.”
For a look at project, Spacing Ottawa contributor Kristina Corre previous shared images of the development here.
