On the first day of spring, and after the longest consecutive run for the Rideau Canal Skateway, a humourous reminder from Toronto-based illustrator Chanel Dehond to stay off the now thawing ice of the Rideau Canal.

Her thesis entitled, “A series” was comprised of five illustrated short fictions that constructed metaphysical space – the way an author might construct a single room or entire world in one’s mind. Chanel is a Toronto-based designer, who practices as a writer and illustrator within the field.
