This bike arch was amazing… But, it was the bike and pedestrian-only eastbound lane that really stole the show! I’ve never seen so many smiling tourists and happy people down at Queen’s Quay. This new portion of the bike path was already jammed with cyclists. Why can’t the city just leave it like this NOW – it is just SO RIGHT!
I wish they would leave it ..what a tease only the cars trying to park were the only problem.

Pam McConnell’s office thanked me for my ‘enthusiatic response’ to the bike lanes and arch…and, at least, did NOT refute the idea of leaving it up until Labour Day… I also sent an email to the Mayor and the cycling cmte chair asking that they leave it. (As I understand it, West8 will begin construction of the *permanent* trail/bike lanes/park in the fall.)
