BikeFriday — Springtime edition

Spring is finally here, and you know what that means?! It’s time for BikeFriday! Okay, it’s true that BikeFriday has been going all winter long for those hearty and hardy souls (and soles), like BF instigator Joe Travers over at bikingtoronto.com … but, now the weather is NO excuse.

So let’s ride! In groups, that is. The concept for BikeFriday is simple: meet up in groups and ride to work together. Biking to work can sometimes be dangerous – but it’s safer when you ride with other people.

Check the BikeFriday link for all the times and locations — or to add your own.

There is a new BikePool on the list: The Queen West BikePool will be leaving the Parkdale Library (1303 Queen West) at 8:30 a.m. on March 30th and heading east to Queen and McCaul. I plan to join this one if I’m in town. I’ll post my own commute for next month.

Grassroots on the Danforth will hold their Biker’s Breakfast between 8 and 9:30 a.m. and BikeChain at UofT is offering free stuff to cyclists between 12 – 5 p.m.

Safe rides!
