The CityTV truck was still alive and well today, the lights blinking and the wheels spinning. I guess they’d have to clear part of the lot and rent a crane to take it down – no sign of that around 11AM today.
I guess it hasn’t got the attention of the potential removal of Sam’s signs, perhaps because Sam’s was the signs to a lot of people. The CHUM-CITY building was more than a the truck (as different as it was) – Speaker’s Corner, the building itself, the gawkers for Much Music, BT vs. Zanta, etc.
Why don’t they just paint over the Citytv logos and then cover the truck with Muchmusic logos? It wouldn’t have the same context, but it could be cheaper than trying to take it down.
