I Bike TO will be presenting our inaugural, to-be-annual, I Bike TO award at Mass to a person or organization that has made a positive contribution to the cycling community in and around Toronto.
BikeFriday is an initiative to promote and encourage bike events happening in Toronto on the last Friday of every month, with the aim of turning that day into a de facto “Bike Day†that happens once a month.
One comment
I’d like to see BikeFridays used to show how courteous and law abiding cyclists can be.
Watching rush hour cyclists from the College streetcar window, I see riders nearly run over those who are stepping off the curb at TTC stops. Other cyclists weave around TTC riders by jumping up onto the sidewalk, just so they don’t have to wait for the streetcar to load. Talk about rude and selfish.
Cyclists are first condemn car drivers who break the rules. So how about it? Will you use BikeFridays to show a better example?
