I wonder if those cars were leaving brilliant, rainbow oil-slicks trailing out downstream…
Okay, I have never owned a car and don’t know anything about them, but what are these cars doing in the river?
I think they’re washing them.
I remember as a kid going with my parents up to Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. My father, and others as well, would try to park on the beach as close to the water as possible. There were no parking lots, one just drove on the sand.
I’d guess the twenties. I was going to say the late teens but a few of the women seem to have bobs, and they wouldn’t have that early (but then again, it’s hard to tell if their hair is really short or just pinned up).
I’m sure a car afficianado (like my mom) could come up with a more accurate date.
Sunday morning came and went without the promised answer, so it must be “None of the above”.
The answer is 1922.
