Events Guide: TCAT Bike Summit 2008

The Toronto Coalition for Active Transportation has organized a Bike Summit that will bring together local, Canadian and international speakers — “leading thinkers, practitioners and decision-makers who are on the fast track to creating bikeable communities.” It will be held on Friday April 25th at the St. Lawrence Hall in Toronto.

Speakers include:

• London Cycling Campaign’s Chief Executive Koy Thompson
• Chicagoland Bicycle Federation’s Chief Strategy Officer Randy Neufeld
• Transport Canada Environmental Initiatives Senior Advisor David MacIsaac
• City of Seattle Senior Transportation Planner Peter Lagerwey
• Bike Train Project Lead and Founder Justin Lafontaine
• Metrolinx Transportation Policy & Planning Advisor Briana Illingworth
• Vélo Québec’s Executive Director Jean-Franà§ois Pronovost

There is a registration charge. People who register by this Friday, April 11th, will be entered into a draw for a one-night stay for two in a Deluxe Guestroom at the Fairmont Royal York hotel in Toronto.
