  1. I was hoping that Daimler contract would get a second look. Smart move.

    And that new St. Lawrence design looks excellent; far better than the current dingy bunker.

  2. Speaking of vehicle orders, I’ve been wondering something…

    Did the TTC just get screwed financially by not pulling off the new streetcar on schedule?

    At the time of the postponement, the Cdn dollar was sky-high. Now, the dollar is so weak that I would imagine the contract price just went up 25 to 35% for those European or American-made parts. Sure, Bombardier is nominally Canadian, but the real factories for these vehicles are not in Canada.
