While TIFF can be more about stargazing and seeing this fall’s eventual blockbuster movies, the film fest can also uncover some fantastic short films. Two films Spacing would suggest you to take in on Tuesday are Unlocked by Mio Adilman and Record by Dylan Reibling. Unlocked follows a yong man around who, besides having a domineering mother, endures his bike being repeatedly double-locked by other careless cyclists. In the five-minute Record, filmmaker Reibling captures a sidewalk record sale that becomes the unexpected site of an emotional reckoning when three men confront by their past on a city street corner in vibrant detail.
If you want to see these films as part of the Short Cuts Canada 5 program, be either the first or second person to email us [ tifftickets@spacing.ca ] and each of you will get your grubby little hands of two free tickets pick up tickets via the TIFF web site.
