  1. Unfortunately, people can have reliable always on power, or they can have clean power. Right now, you can’t have both. No matter where a plant is located, people will be opposed to it (understandably), but they have to go somewhere. The south Clarkson location has been planned for a powerplant as far back as the 1970s under the Parkway Belt West Plan.
