  2. There is no reason why our parking rates should be lower than Calgary’s. We have a far more extensive rapid and commuter transit network into and out of the core. Cities like Calgary, Ottawa, and Vancouver have additional parking levies to help fund transit. The result is lower fares and higher per capita ridership into their CBDs.
