  1. What is not evident in this photo is the rail yard north of Front. If you look along the retaining wall on the north side of the rail corridor (the south side of Front Street), you will see a track climbing up to street level. At Spadina, this crossed diagonally and fanned out into the yard that used to be where Metro Hall and Thomson Hall now stand.
