  1. Re: Mayor Ford’s family business raises conflict questions

According to his itinerary, obtained by the Star via a FOI request, our mayor spent “all day” on January 24 at his family business.

On that same day, there was a crucial Budget Committee meeting. Most councillors felt this meeting was important enough to warrant their attendance, but our mayor did not.

At that meeting, recall, committee members rejected additional funds for the Ombudsman’s office on the grounds that “the city plans to improve its customer service record anyway.”
