For the forth year we’re doing Stroll City on the TTC subway screens. As I wander the city making Toronto observations with my twitter account, some of those tweets will go out through the @StrollCity account and also appear, every 10 minutes, on the screens above the TTC platforms in 60 subway stations across the city. Better than my tweets, if you tweet your own observations (or response to mine) to the @StrollCity account, they, too, will appear on the screens during that rotation. It’s based in part on my book, Stroll, which has 32 long observational walks through Toronto, but adds a lot more participation to it.
This year I hope we get observations from the lake up to Steeles and Etobicoke Creek to the Rouge Valley. One giant city, observed. Follow the @StrollCity Twitter account and start looking around; the tweets start going up on the screens on Monday. Represent!
