Jennifer Keesmaat talk about walking to school

Walk Toronto is hosting a talk by Chief Planner Jennifer Keesmat about walking to school on Feb. 12, to be followed by its 2014 general meeting. Keesmaat talks passionately about this subject, and organized a stakeholder’s forum on this subject in the fall to get this issue to the top of the civic agenda.

The event is free and everyone is welcome.

Following the keynote, the Walk Toronto general meeting will highlight current initiatives and describe the group’s first year’s accomplishments, followed by an opportunity to connect with other walking advocates and talk to representatives of walk to school programs. Everyone is welcome to stay and participate.
