The new issue of Spacing is out! Subscribers should have received it by now and you can grab a copy on newsstands or at the Spacing Store. As usual, we will be hosting a release party to celebrate the new edition. Join us for drinks and urbanism-themed chats.

This issue features 12 extraordinary Toronto women who are changing the city’s public realm. These profiles highlight their amazing city-building work while tackling the challenges of working in a traditionally male-dominated profession. The women range from a chief planner to a guerrilla gardener, from a transit executive to a skateboard activist, and from a public consultation specialist to a mural artist.

The issue also a feature about excavating the Black history of The Ward, five reasons to love the Bloor bike lanes, a manifesto on how to tackle class and race in the world of city-building, and a photo essay documenting Toronto’s unique transit fare history.
