WHAT: Spacing, summer 2007 issue release party
WHEN: Wednesday, July 4th, 2007 • 8pm
WHERE: S.S. Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen St. W.)
HOW MUCH: $10, includes copy of magazine and
DRESS CODE: wear white or blue (not mandatory, but strongly encouraged)
On Wednesday, July 4th, please join Spacing to celebrate the launch of our summer 2007 issue on the S.S. Gladstone (its just the hotel). In keeping with the theme of the issue, we ask that those of you planning to attend either wear white or blue. We’ll have a whack of activities related to water to keep you cool.
We had originally hoped to host this release party on a boat out in the harbour, but due to financial constraints it was impossible. We apologize and are just as disappointed as some of you must be. Our release parties need to be money-makers for us and a boat cruise is not a good way to make money. But we’re planning to host a boat cruise party in August and you’re all invited! We’ll hopefully be selling pre-cruise tickets at the party so make sure to come out and reserve your spot (the price is still up in the air, but it’ll be in the $25 range).
FACEBOOK: if you’re a Facebook user, you can spread the word of the event. Please check out our event listing.

I can think of dozens of people I would invite to this if it were an event on Facebook.

Where are the Swan Boats?
Steve: That would be the latest incarnation of Blue 22 – a high-speed Swan Boat BRT (boat rapid transit) canal. There might even be a stop at Dufferin and Queen. Should I bring the public “advisory” panels along?
At least it puts the Blue in Blue 22.
Definitely my shortest attendance yet at these events; I paid, got my copy, within 5-10 minutes bit into a gummi fish(?), felt something hard, discovered I broke a tooth, and left in order to process what to do next (*not* legal, don’t worry). Ah well, as long as I got my copy…
