Every November 8th planners everywhere celebrate World Town Planning Day. This year the Canadian Association of Planning Students (CAPS) is marking the day by hosting a walkshop visiting some of the most interesting locations around the city and featuring some great urban thinkers. The event is free and open to everyone and will convene at different times and locating throughout the day. A keynote speaker will share insights at each location.

The walkshop starts at 11:00 am at the Art Gallery of Ontario, moves to Union Station at noon, visits the St Lawrence Market at 1:00pm, heads west to Alexandria Park at 3:00pm and ends at 4:00pm at 401 Richmond St W. Participants are free to join in at any stage of the walk.

  1. Hi Brad!!!!!!

I just want to thank you for the fantastic and illustrative day I had. It was a real urban planning immersion experience, I have enjoyed a day since I worked back home as urban planner in similar experiences.

The speakers were phenomenal in explaining the rich urban history of Toronto and make me anxious to start working as urban planner again.

    Kind Regards

    Aurora
