Here’s Scarborough’s Kingston – Galloway neighbourhood as seen from a helicopter back in July. There’s lots of stuff down there, including Danzig Street, site of the horrific shooting last month — but also a big art scene. Tonight and tomorrow the Bridging Festival, underneath the Lawrence Avenue bridge over Highland Creek, will put that scene on view. Also on the grounds of the adjacent East Scarborough Storefront, a new partnership with the Tower Renewal project will include de-fencing ceremoney. There’s lot’s going on in Scarborough. Wander by if you can.

This festival, and the arts in Scarborough, are the subject of my Toronto Star column today.
