Naming intersections:
It just occurred to me that there are standard orders in naming intesections of Toronto’s major streets.
King & Yonge, Queen & Yonge, College & Yonge;
but Yonge & Dundas, Yonge & Bloor, and Yonge & St. Clair.
I can’t figure out any reason for this.
It’s also common with people: mom and dad, and the names of friends in couples. I’ve never been able to figure the reasoning behind it.
