Laboratory of Housing Alternatives – Visioning Workshop, November 22

Read more articles by

The Laboratory of Housing Alternatives is a forum for people who want to take action into providing affordable housing alternatives for young, creative and emerging professionals!

Every year many creative professionals leave Vancouver due to the lack of adequate and affordable places to live. We form part of a new generation that live and work in different ways. Some of us work from home while others are artists that require studios and other types of creative spaces. Many people would rather have access to communal gardens than a ‘solarium’ or a ‘den’. For some, it is simply the ability to live in a desirable part of the city. Regardless of the motivation it is clear that current development models don’t fit our needs or budgets.

This is an open invitation for motivated and proactive individuals to become part of this laboratory by participating in a visioning event on Thursday November 22nd @ the Hive from 6:00-9:30 PM.
