Neighbourhood Artists Take on the Street

Broadway East is being revitalized by neighbourhood groups and businesses who care about the street and our neighbourhood. The first Broadway East Art Walk is showcasing local Vancouver artists on Saturday, June 8th from 3:00-6:00pm at:

A temporary art installation will also be on display at the alley neighbouring Harkness & Co. Butchers. Attendees are also invited to unleash their inner artist with additional activities at the Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House.

The event will culminate with a screening of a series of short films capturing stories from a variety of neighbours by filmmaker Ana Mateescu starting at 6:15pm at the Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House.

About

This event is meant to offer a taste of the larger Art Walk that is being planned for Saturday, September 28th that hopes to include a variety of businesses along the Broadway stretch from Prince Edward to Prince Albert.

The overall goal is to invigorate and identify Broadway East as an art destination while showcasing unique businesses and emerging artists in the area. 

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available. All activities are free and drop-in, but please RSVP for the short films screening.
