Hi Detectives

Fall is upon us and that means it’s time for another free, and fun Critter Capers mystery! The Case of the Strange Splashes will take place at Burnaby Lake Regional Park on Saturday October 19th, from 1-4pm.

Here is the situation: Mysterious splashing at Burnaby Lake is causing concern for the animals trying to sleep nearby. Wayne the Wood duck is worried that something strange is going on and he doesn’t feel safe in his waterfront nest box anymore. Is it an innocent pool party or is someone sleeping with the fishes? Who, or what, is causing all the ruckus? Examine the crime scene, try out animal tracks and don’t be fooled by plant-ed evidence. Plunge into this mystery and help Wayne hang the culprit out to dry.

This free family event is ideal for detectives ages six and older. Meet at the Burnaby Lake Nature House at 4519 Piper Avenue off Winston Street. Allow 1 hour to walk the loop trail and solve the case. Complete the mystery before 4 pm and receive a reward.
