Scot Hein was one of the most respected planners at Vancouver City Hall. For the last few years, he has been using his skills to train other planners and is offering another introductory course to neighbourhood design for The City Program, starting on May 5.
 
This interactive course will help develop a toolkit for navigating public processes such as permitting and zoning, and public engagement from a design perspective, including three online sessions, plus a walking tour through Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighbourhood. 
 
Location: Online and Vancouver
Duration: 4 weeks, starting Tuesday, May 5th, 2026
Tuition: $430 + GST
