The North Saskatchewan River Valley is unquestionably Edmonton’s gem, hidden in plain sight. For those of us who live on one side of the river and work or go to school on the other, we see it every day, yet many are more likely to pass through it in a matter of minutes than get out to explore, run, ride, or enjoy it. Fall is its most glorious (albeit short) season, with cooler temperatures turning the leaves an array of colours. If you haven’t had a chance to take a walk through some of Edmonton’s 160 km of river valley trails this fall, it’s well worth the visit!
