What?
To mark the last days of the exhibition Living in a sustainable city, one of the most influential urban ecology visionaries, Richard Register, president and founder of Ecocity Builders, will be presenting a conference at the Écomusée du fier monde.

This event is the occasion to explore the place of the city in evolution, history and nature. It will put the emphasis on the possible changes that can be made to reduce the ecological impact of human activity, and ways to promote human interaction and social justice in the urban environment. Richard Register will present efficient strategies and tools to transform cities into Ecocities.

The attendees will also have a special opportunity to visit the exhibition Living in a sustainable city that is up until June 13. Only a few days left!

Richard Register Bio

Author and theorist about planning and ecological urban design, Richard Register has more than 30 years of experience in development and implementation of innovative projects.  For these projects, he has collaborated as much with decision-makers to encourage them to act in concrete terms, as with community organizations and promoters, towards improving built environment. With Ecocity Builders, M. Register organizes major international conferences, the Ecocity World Summit. Since 1990, these summit have taken place in California (1990 and 2008), in Australia (1992), in Senegal (1996), in Brazil (2000), in China (2002), in India (2006) and in Turkey (2009). The 9th Ecocity World Summit will be held in Montreal from August 22 to August 26, 2011.
