Image of the Moment: Transitway Underpass

Location: Taken from underneath the Transitway bridge, connecting Hurdman and Lees Stations, looking north across the Rideau River.
Date of photo: February 7, 2014
Photographer: Dwight Williams

While one doesn’t see the graffiti on the pillars of the bridge itself from aboard any of the many buses, police cruisers and other government vehicles using this crossing daily, the graphics on the storm drain access are seen by thousands each day heading north and west along the Transitway. It was that image that drew me to travel on
foot from Hurdman Station to see what else might be found.

The designers responsible remain unknown at this writing.
