Join Landscape Planner David Flanders (UBC Collaborative for Advanced Landscape Planning) and Jorge Lopez, a prominent LEED architect from Mexico City, as they launching an initiative to accelerate the uptake of solar energy components on buildings in our two countries.
This Thursday, July 31st, Lopez will give a presentation about this program and other examples of his work in sustainable architecture at The Hive workspace in downtown Vancouver at 5:30pm  .
Similar to the Vancouver-based World Housing project, where BC home investors subsidize the construction of homes in poor communities in the developing world, we are launching a similar one-for-model investment model to establish greener buildings here and elsewhere.
We are reaching out to the architecture, construction, energy and LEED community to build interest and spark a dialogue about this opportunity to foster more socially, financially and environmentally equitable development. Please help us build awareness of this event by forwarding it along to others that may be interested.

In the spirit of our Mexican guest and this current bout of heat, the event will officially be a Tequila night – arrive by bike and your first drink is on us.
