Anyone who has had their bike stolen knows the heartbreak of losing a dear friend. Enter a group of volunteers from the Bike Union and a team of developers from Random Hacks of Kindness. A joint initiative of the Toronto Cyclists’ Union and the Toronto Police Service, the Register/Report/Check campaign encourages cyclists to register their bike online, report bike theft when it occurs, and check the serial number of secondhand bikes using the isthisbikestolen.com mobile web app.
Tonight, Monday November 7th, is the launch event for the Register/Report/Check campaign. Come out to hear more about the program, thank the team and share your stories of lost/found.
