The John Spears solumn about the shelter leaves me rather irked!!! Most of the area residents support the shelter. We’re just annoyed about having to show up to meeting, after meeting and the property owners who are trying to peddle their stuff deserve to be taken to court for trying to scuttle a deal.
Even if the City overpaid in the short run — in the long run, they stand to make a bundle. The real estate in the area is going up up up and away. Just think, a shelter and a beautiful street corner at Peter and Richmond.
Just do it.
