Tour: LOST TORONTO

We start off at HFC and stroll together into the heart of our ever-changing city. What’s lost you might ask? Plenty — we’ll unearth lost nooks and crannies of Toronto the Meeting Place. We will seek out the lost jails, hanging square, grand vaudeville theatres, and a court house — all of these old sites beckon us to listen to muddled stories of the wicked and colourful people connected with them.

Tour: Toronto’s Lost and First Chinatown
meet at Old City Hall (Queen/Bay)
end at Dundas/Spadina

Trace the seeds that were planted 129 years ago and uprooted several times before landing in the better-known location. Look at photos from the 20’s, 30’s and 90’s. Learn a little feng shui, taste see and smell the surroundings!

Explore the connections between the Bloor Viaduct and the old Robert Simpson store. Cross the bridge to meet long gone citizens of Chester Village, doctor’s row, Rosedale east and Riverdale.

Check our Rosedale’s eclectic nooks like worker’s cottages, old train station, Sir Henry Pellatt’s second castle, site of the Jarvis family, the Group of Seven’s forgotten studio, and the busting victorian village of Yorkville. indulge house nostagia as we end in the oldest Yorkville cafe.
