    what do residents expect to happen to traffic if the plan gets scuttled? traffic will continue to get worse regardless, as it has across the city for years. the only viable future is investing in alternatives and throttling down the traffic volume in places adjacent to residential areas. if residents are honestly worried about traffic safety, get rid of the off-ramps. but since they really just want driving convenience and NOW DAMMIT, let them sleep in the bed they make.
