Requiem for a Paper Bag is a new book from the people behind Found magazine — an annual publication that collects and celebrates the random and amazing objects and artifacts people come across as they go about their daily lives.
Though the magazine is about the stuff itself, the new book looks more closely at the stories behind the art and science of finding, and includes contributions from Chuck D, Andy Samberg, Susan Orlean, Dave Eggers, Miranda July, Chuck Klosterman, Katherine Dunn, and Devendra Banhart.
Found magazine creator Davy Rothbart will be at Supermarket this evening to talk about the book, and the magazine, and the joy of the find. Spacing is a co-presenter of this event.
