A brief public service announcement to bring to your attention two very worthy fundraising events for local, internationally connected organizations. PEN Canada campaigns on freedom of expression issues here and around the world, while Romero House is a Toronto-based organization that provides housing and assistance to refugees who arrive in our city. In Toronto we’re proud of both our democratic freedoms and our openness + multiculturalism — these are two organizations help make that stuff possible. Consider attending both these events.
